3. Anthony Avalos

This week we are covering the case of Anthony Avalos. It is heavy, and was not fun to research, or talk about. I feel like it was important to share this story, though. My hope is that the more people that hear Anthony’s story, the less likely it is any other child will have to suffer the way he did. This weeks case did involve the death of a child, so I didn’t get into a lot of detail about some specific instances that occurred. I highly recommend watching the sentencing videos on YouTube. They’re very sad, but it shows how many people loved Anthony and it gives your heart a little peace knowing that he experienced love from other members of his family, even though his mother wasn’t capable of it.
